Abstract :

  A study to assess the effectiveness of video assisted teaching on First Aid management among school teachers.The objectives of this study to assess the pre and post intervention knowledge regarding first aid management among school teachers determine the effectiveness of video assisted teaching programme of first aid management among school teachers. The simple random sampling technique was used with the samples of 45 school teachers. Structured interview schedule was used to assess the samples. The study assessed the level of knowledge of teachers on first aid management. An extensive review of literature with the guidance of experts formed the foundation to the development of questionnaires. The investigators used demographic variable. The data collection tools were validated and reliability was established. The collected data was tabulated and analysed. Descriptive and inferential statistics was used. The mean value (0.451) and the standard deviation (0.765) in the study show that the school teachers have adequate knowledge(80%), moderately adequate knowledge(18%) and have inadequate knowledge(2%). Hence health education for the school teachers can be incorporate to improve the teacher‘s knowledge.
