AN INNOVATIVE APPROACH TOWARDS RESEARCH IN PAINTING

Abstract :

  Art and artistic research stimulates forward movements that progress in a socio-political and cultural environment, where conventions are questioned, shattered and new traditions are established. Innovative art practices focuses on the contemporary and leads us to a more futuristic approach to research. Art has always been free from all pre-defined limitations or restraints. There are no norms or criteria set for assessing an artist and his work. But when it comes to research in Art practices, it is pre-framed by the established institutional practices and educational norms. The various pre-defined methodologies to frame the research; however; sometimes don’t deliver the satisfactory outcomes. The main Objective of this paper is to Critically Examine the different aspect in quality research and its possible innovative practices, and to focus on the importance of Information Technology, Sources of Materials and its authenticity.
