Abstract :

The emotional intelligence of higher secondary students was investigated on a sample of 300 students of class 11 of higher secondary schools giving due representation to gender, locality and type of schools in Coimbatore. A standardized tool �Emotional Intelligence Inventory� was used for this study. It was found that healthy emotional intelligence enables students to successfully cope with new situations
