The usage of ozone in dentistry has been proposed because of its various biological properties like disinfection, antimicrobial activity, biocompatibility and healing properties. In the last few years, various therapeutic protocols with ozone have been developed in various fields of dentistry. Inspite of many advantages, therapeutic ozone’s application in dentistry is limited because of its possible side effects. Hence, dentists has to know the appropriate usage of ozone therapy which can provide better patient care and considerably cut down the time and cost of the treatment.
