<p> India has the second fastest growing service sector with its compound growth rate at nine percent, just below China‘s 10.9 percent during the last eleven years period from 2001 to 2012. It is contributing significantly to G.D.P, GDP Growth, investment and growth. This paper throws light on reasons of fast development of service sector and its role in economic development.</p>
