				<title>ABSTRACT</title>
				<p>The collaborative teaching is a model that supports teachers in their attempts to fully integrate academically, 
students with special needs in the general education classroom. The aim of the study is to determine the 
effectiveness of collaborative teaching approach in inclusive education. This descriptive study involved regular 
and special education teachers in Government schools at Tiruchirappalli District of Tamilnadu. The universe consists of 593 primary 
school teachers and 191 government schools in Tiruchirappalli District. 4 schools were selected from each blocks of Tiruchirappalli 
District through disproportionate random sampling method. Out of 60 schools, the researchers selected 5 teachers from each school 
through disproportionate random sampling method. The total sample was 300 school teachers. The findings were synthesized according 
to the aspects of teachers&amp;amp;rsquo; perception and attitude towards collaborative model, impact of collaboration among special educators and 
mainstream&amp;amp;ndash;teachers and other related matters concerning with the implementation of inclusive education.</p>
