Enhancement of English communication skills for Engineering students

Abstract :

English communication is essential for engineering students. Majority of the Engineering students are from rural areas. Communication is an essential element in engineering students to facilitate not just student’s education but also to prepare them for their career opportunity. The increasing force and professional challenges amplify the role of engineers. English for specific purposes focuses the learner’s concentration on the particular language and communication skills required in the intercontinental professional field. They faced so many problems in English communication during academics as well as their professional life. If students fail to see the oader scenario of the corporate world and disregard the communication skills, it can be put in danger a trivial level of understanding. Professional authority in Multi National companies always expects that their employees should possess good communication skills along with technical competency. However, at the underside of these lies an effective communication skill. Effective communication re–enforce positive impression of the engineer. Communication skills development discussed in this paper, with examples specified with different methods of teaching and assessment to achieve the desire of the student. The result of this study found that engineering students have achieved good communication skills and it ings to enlighten the importance of communication skills among students.
