A study on Image Segmentation and its methods

Abstract :

In the world of Digital Image Processing(DIP) image segmentation playing a vital role in processing of the images. It has got its own significant features where we can extract the point of interest from the images. image segmentation is the process of partitioning a digital image into multiple segments (sets of pixels, also known as super pixels). The goal of segmentation is to simplify and/or change the representation of an image into something that is more meaningful and easier to analyze.[1] Image segmentation is typically used to locate objects and boundaries (lines, curves, etc.) in images(1). By using a various methods and types of segmentation we can achieve numerous tasks in application like (Machine Vision, Medical Imaging, object detection and etc.)
