Addressing the Mental Health Care Needs of the Frail Elderly

Abstract :

The share of India’s population aged 60 and older is projected to climb from 8 percent in 2010 to 19 percent in 2050. Data are lacking on the health and social support of India’s growing elderly population and concern is mounting about their well–being. Having positive attitudes such as a sense of value, being open and tolerant of new ways of doing things, and being willing to learn can contribute to their wellbeing.
