Bioactive Polyphenols Of Bombax Ceiba

Abstract :
Fresh flowers of Bombax malabaricum of Bombacaceae is found contain quercetin and isoquercitrin. The glycoside has been found to contain considerable bactereostatic property. The HRBC memane stabilisation studies showed that the isolated drug has stabilised the memane at 100 μg of the drug.
