In Silico Observations and Analysis of Metabolic Pathways

Abstract :

Metabolic signatures are efficient markers of prime importance in health and disease diagnosis. Metabolic pathway observation and analysis is considered to be one of the promising areas of research. Understanding of the interactions among physical entities in the cell elucidates the underlying mechanisms in normal, disordered and disease states. Pathway structure knowledge offer delicate biological insights to know higher–order functions of the biological systems. In this review attempt has been made to be familiar with important databases and relevant in silico tools and programs which are generally built to archive, organize, visualize, map and analyze metabolic pathways.
