Prolotherapy A paradigm shift in temporomandibular joint disorder management.

Abstract :

<p><p> Prolotherapy is an innovative technique of injection treatment that relieves pain and stimulates healing. For temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD) patients whose medical and financial conditions do not allow to seek any other treatment modalities, prolotherapy can be an effective alternative. Most of the medical treatments provide only temporary benefits, but this safe, cheaper and proven treatment offers long lasting relief. Other uses include low back pain, knee osteoarthritis, shoulder dislocation, etc. This article provides updated information about this new treatment alternative for TMD known as prolotherapy</p></p>
