 Internet is man’s greatest invention of 20th century. There are 1 billion Internet users in 30 aspiring countries and 120 million Internet users in India. This cross–sectional study was conducted among undergraduate medical students of a medical college in Maharashtra. Young’s IAD questionnaire was used. A total of 240 students participated. Which included 194 males (80.8 %) and 46 (19.2%) females. Based on Young’s original criteria, the study population were classified into average user (79.2%), moderate addict (7.5%) and severe addict (0.8%). Use of internet less than average use was seen in 12.5% of students. Male predominance was seen with Internet addiction prevalence of 9.2%. Students who felt isolated from family were found to be having more Internet Addiction (X2= 14.2, p=<.001). Sleep disturbance and internet addiction significantly associated (X2= 20.29, p=<.001), frequently getting irritated was significantly associated (X2=31.9, p=<.001).
