Introduction: Palliative care is a multidisciplinary approach and a specialised care for people with serious illnesses.^1,3 Society is unaware of this aspect of care in terminally ill patients .Students of nursing, physiotherapy and MBBS who can be future palliative physicians lack knowledge about this speciality.² Materials and methods:  A study was conducted in B.J. Medical College and Sassoon General Hospitals SGH, a tertiary government hospital among III year Undergraduate , Nursing and Physiotherapy students, thirty each regarding awareness of palliative care.    A questionnaire incorporating various domains like concept of palliative care, communication skills and symptom management of palliative care was circulated to test their knowledge. A lecture about above aspects of palliative care was taken for them after which the same questionnaire was circulated which showed improvement in their knowledge. Results and Conclusion: Lecture about various domains of palliative care showed improvement in the knowledge of students of undergraduate,nursing and physiotherapy students of a tertiary government hospital.
