Urachal cyst represents the embryologic remnants of the allontois and is one of the commonest urachal abnormalities. It is usually asymptomatic and often detected in the USG or CT scan during investigating for other abdominal conditions or when presented with umbilical pain, discharge, erythema or sign and symptoms of urinary tract infection or rarely adenocarcinoma of the urinary bladder. Laparoscopic complete excision from umbilicus to the dome of the urinary bladder is the preferred modality of management after ensuring control of local infection if present.
