Abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) is defined as the bleeding pattern that differs in the duration, amount and frequency of the flow of a normal menstrual cycle. It is one of the most common health problems encountered by women in perimenopausal age group. Histopathological analysis of endometrial biopsy from dilatation and curettage samples gives an accurate diagnosis of the cause of AUB.
