A successful dental restoration is mainly dependent on the accuracy of the dental impressions. An impression is an imprint or negative replica. There are several impression techniques developed to produce duplications as accurate as possible. The accuracy of an impression depends on the materials used for impression making as well as the techniques. Each technique has got its own advantages and drawbacks.
