Human identification is the mainstay of civilization. Crime recognition by nail marks pattern is new. Nail marks may be found at number of crime scenes. Nail injuries marks by human is one of the complicated and demanding part of forensic medicine. The individuality of human identification allows the (forensic experts) to reach to strong opinion of association in cases of identification and nail injuries analysis. In the cases of physical assault having nail injuries the anatomy and physiology of skin and the position of victim affect the detail and the shape of nail injuries mark. Nail injuries marks have the level of forensic value necessary to identify just one individual. Advanced techniques using digital overlays have been suggested. The issues with in the nail mark analysis are discussed in the paper.
