a) Background: Tuberculosis (TB) is common in developing countries with high rates of morbidity and mortality. In this situation, not only rapid TB case detection but also the early determination of MDR status is important. b) Materials and Methods: A prospective study was done of all the patients diagnosed as extra pulmonary tuberculosis. Relevant laboratory investigations, imaging, endoscopy, fluid analysis, biopsy was done and processed for CBNAAT. c) Results: A total of 100 patients were evaluated, 28 cases were bacteriologically confirmed and 72 cases were clinically diagnosed. AFB smear was found to be positive in 20% cases and cultures were positive in 12% cases. CBNAAT was positive in 32% cases, providing a sensitivity of 91.6% and specificity of 76.1% d) Conclusion: CBNAAT confirmed extra pulmonary tuberculosis more accurately and it gives the results in one day including resistance to rifampicin
