INTRODUCTION : Lipomas are benign tumors of adipose tissues. They infrequently occur in the head and neck. People may require lipoma excision which is large or growing rapidly, causes bothersome symptoms such as pain and discomfort, causes distress for cosmetic reasons. AIMS: To evaluate result of complete lipoma excision, observe complication and recurrence. MATERIALS AND METHOD: Retrospectively histologically proven lipoma which were present as neck swelling were included in this study which held at GMERS medical college and hospital, sola. The diagnosis of the lesion was done by clinical examination and confirmed by ultrasonography (USG) and FNAC . RESULTS: Postoperatively, All patients have been on regular follow up to observe complication and recurrence. CONCLUSION: In this study, 85% lipomas are at anterior triangle of neck. Diagnostic modality were include USG, FNAC, and excision biopsy. Surgical excision is the preferred treatment with low recurrence rates and minimal postoperative complication.
