Introduction : Elimination of microorganisms and prevention of reinfection results in successful endodontic treatment. Enterococcus faecalisis most commonly isolated from root canals with failed endodontic treatment. Materials and methodology :The aim of this study is to evaluate the antimicrobial effects of herbal extracts of AzadiractaIndica, OcimumSanctum and Curcuma Longa on E.faecalis using confocal laser scanning microscope. Results :According to the findings it was concluded that root canal irrigation using 3% sodium hypochlorite showed the highest antimicrobial efficacy against enterococcus faecalis when compared to AzadiractaIndica, OcimumSanctum and Curcuma Longa and among these herbal irrigantsAzadiractaindica is having the highest antimicrobial efficacy.
