Background and Objectives: Pediatric Febrile seizure is very common occurrence in childhood and this study evaluates association between febrile seizures and iron deficiency anemia. Materials and Methods: We conducted a hospital based case–control study on 120 children 6 months to 6 yr old age hospitalized at a tertiary care hospital in central India from ran from January 2018 to December 2018. Mean Corpuscular Volume (MCV), Mean Corpuscular Haemoglobin (MCH), Mean Corpuscular Haemoglobin Concentration (MCHC), Red Blood Count (RBC) and Red Cell Distribution Width values were collected and analysed statistically with SPSS Ver 20.0. Results: There were no differences regarding age and sex between the groups. Respirator infections were the most common cause of fever. There was significant difference in hemoglobin, hematocrit, MCHC, MCV, RDW in the two groups. Conclusion: In children with febrile seizures, iron deficiency anemia was more common.
