The median palatal cyst is a developmental cyst at the midline of the palate.(1)Median palatine cysts are rare, non–odontogenic fissural cysts of the hard palate. These cysts almost occur in the midline of the hard palate, behind the incisive canal. Its origin is generally attributed to the enclavement of epithelial remnants within the palatine suture between the two lateral maxillary processes during their fusion in the origin of the hard palate. The purpose of this report is to relate a case of a median palatine cyst, discussing the lesion‘s rarity, its pathogenesis, and the various methods that could be used to treat this pathological entity correctly.(3)
