Introduction: Lymph node yield and lymph node ratio from selective or elective neck dissections are predictive of patient outcomes, may be used for treatment planning, or quality measurement. The objective of our study was to correlate lymph node ratio and tumor T stage after neck dissection in oral cavity cancers (all subsites). We conducted a retrospective study from July 2019 to January 2018 and analyzed all the neck dissection histopathology reports for oral cavity cancers and correlated lymph node density to the T stage of tumor. Our results demonstrated that advanced T stage was associated with higher lymph node density which has an impact on overall survival. Increased lymph node density is associated with diminished survival and may be used for planning adjuvant therapy
