ECC is the most common chronic disease among young children and affects children less than 71 months of age, and they currently represent a public health problem in various countries worldwide. There are a multitude of risk factors associated with ECC. Feeding habits and a variety of biological, environmental, and socioeconomic factors are involved in the development of ECC.
