Background: Type 2 Diabetes mellitus accounting 90 percent of all diabetic population and its control occupies prime position. Uncontrolled diabetes leads to many immediate and long term complications, indirectly hamper the quality of life of individual and indirectly country economic burden will be increased. Objectives: To determine prevalence of glycaemic control, demographic factors and other risk factors association with glycaemic control of type 2 Diabetes. Methodology: A cross‑sectional study was conducted among the patients visiting to selected PHCC of Buraidah city. The data was collected from the patients through direct interview method from 177 patients during the period of 2019. Data was entered in SPSS version 21.0 and necessary statistical tests were applied. Results: In the present study males were 77.4% and mean glycosylated haemoglobin level was 8.47% ± 1.41. About 76.8% were having BMI > 25 and about 48% were giving diabetes history > 10 years duration. Good glycaemic control in the study population noticed was 16.5% (HbA1C<7%). About 32.2% were having both Diabetes and Hypertension in the study population. Conclusions: In the present study, relatively less glycaemic control was observed among the patients attending primary health care centres. Need integrated approach from the primary health care centre health care professionals and from the patients Behaviour change communication (BCC) to be strengthened and trainings to be conducted periodically.
