Pelvi–ureteric junction obstruction is a common urological entity presenting with hydronephrosis and pain. Most commonly the causative factor being a calculus in the upper ureter or at PUJ. Other causes being strictures, idiopathic fibrosis and less commonly aberrant renal vessel. Vascular bar is the new terminology coined for this vascular entity. Here we present a case of 36 year old woman who presented with left PUJ obstruction, which was found to be due to a vascular bar crossing at the pelvi ureteric junction
