The purpose of this article is to update the dental clinician how periodontal disease can lead to complication in new born baby. Pregnancy leads to many physiologic changes in the body which is hormone mediated and influences the treatment modalities. In pregnancy various organism and inlammatory mediators are involved in pre–term labour pain. Information about micro–organisms and inflammatory mediators is provided in this article
