Background: Internet addiction(IA) is a public health concern these days. It can cause significant mental health problems and reduced quality of sleep among college students. Objective: To explore the relationship between internet addiction and sleep quality among university students of Delhi NCR. Methods: A cross–sectional study among 150 students of a private university in Delhi NCR. Internet Addiction was assessed using Young Internet Addiction Test (YIAT) and Sleep quality was assessed using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI).The data was analyzed by using SPSS, Version 23.0. p– Value of <0.05 was considered to be statistically significant. Results: 84% students had poor quality of sleep. 39.3% students were suffering from moderate internet addiction. Significant correlation was found between internet addiction and sleep quality (p value <0.05). Conclusion: Excessive use of internet is associated with poor quality of sleep. Counseling services for the same should be made available in the campus.
