Abstract :

One of the new trends in the residential construction is designing for environmental – friendly wall finishes. Planners and designers are therefore trying to accommodate the styles of various wall finishes into existing residential, during their construction or trying to renovate their walls after their construction. The building interiors are looked for a number of reasons. The interior finishes themselves usually reflect the overall building quality. It consists mainly of covering of the rough walls to enhance the interior or exterior look of the structure. Having this in mind a sample of 60 residential residing in Chennai city was selected. Types of residence were the main variable for the selection. As per the variable 30 respondents residing in Flat/Apartment and 30 residing in Independent Villa were selected using random sampling techniques.
