Educational Attainment of Elementary Level Students of Slums in Relation to Their Types of School: A Comparative Study

Abstract :

 Education for all is a scheme of government of india to provde Elementary level Education to every child of countery. The Government of India has declared and made a law under Right to Education to ensure compulsory and free Elementary Education.The Present study is inetended to asceratain the reach of Elementary Education to deprived class such as child of Slum area and level of their Educational Attainment. The present study is conducted to evaluate the Educational Attainment of Students of Slum in relation to their types of schools. For the present study the sample size taken is 270 students of class VII th consist of 140 of Govt. Schools and 130 from Pvt School students located in slum area of Lucknow city. For evaluating the Educational attainment of Students of slum .General Classroom Achievement Test by Prof. A.K. Singh was utilised as Tool.The Finding of the study revealed that Educational Attainment of students of Slum differ significantly in relation to their types of school and Gender.
