ETHICAL HACKING AND ITS VALUE TO SECURITY

Abstract :

 As public and private organizations migrate more of their critical functions to the Internet, criminals have more opportunity and incentive to gain access to sensitive information through the Web application. Thus the need of protecting the systems from the nuisance of hacking generated by the hackers is to promote the persons who will punch back the illegal attacks on our computer systems. So, to overcome from these major issues, ethical hackers or white hat hackers came into existence. “Ethical Hacking” which attempts to pro-actively increase security protection by identifying and patching known security vulnerabilities on systems owned by other parties. Ethical hackers may beta test unreleased software, stress test released software, and scan networks of computers for vulnerabilities. Ethical hacking can be defined as the practice of hacking without no malicious intention, rather evaluate target system with a hackers perspectives. Hacking is a process to bypass the security mechanisms of an information system or network. The main purpose of this study is to reveal the ief idea of the ethical hacking and its affairs with the corporate security.
