Krishan Kant Pandey, Mirza R. U. Beg
Abstract :
Psoriasis is a lifelong chronic inflammatory skin disorder affecting upto 1-2% of the world’s population.2 Psoriasis is a common chronic recurrent inflammatory skin disorder characterized by hyperproliferation and reduced differentiation of keratinocytes. Our aim was to evaluate the serum total cholesterol, triglyceride, HDL-c, LDL-c and VLDL-c levels in patients with Psoriasis and compared the levels with those of healthy controls.. We found significant differences for all examined biomarkers (TC, TG, LDL-c and VLDL-c) with the exception of HDL-c in psoriatic patients compared with controls.
