T.V watching Habits and academic achievement in teaching of English at the B.Ed level in Puducherry region

Abstract :

<p>&lt;p&gt;The present study aims at identifying the relationship between T.V watching habits and academic achievement in&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;div&gt;teaching of English at the B.Ed level in puducherry region and significant difference between the sub samples of the&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt; &lt;div&gt;trainees in respect of their T.V watching habits and academic achievement in teaching of English at the B.Ed level.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt; &lt;div&gt;The investigators have randomly selected 104 trainees from four different colleges of education in puducherry region as sample. The scale T.V&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt; &lt;div&gt;watching habits and academic achievement in teaching of English are developed and standardized by the investigators. By using the normative&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt; &lt;div&gt;survey method, the results reveal that there is significant relationship between T.V watching habits and academic achievement in teaching of&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt; &lt;div&gt;English at the B.Ed level. Hence the B.Ed trainees having T.V watching habits show better academic achievement in teaching of English at the B.Ed&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt; &lt;div&gt;level. Also a few results reveal significant difference in T.V watching habits and academic achievement in teaching of English in the sub categories&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt; &lt;div&gt;sex, subject and locality&lt;/div&gt;</p>
