Abstract :

Education plays an important role in the development of human life. By education an individual can develop learner’s abilities. With education learners can develop their skills. English language affords better job prospects throughout the world. A major factor in the spread of English has been the spread of commerce throughout the world. English is very widely used in India as a second language. It is the language commonly used now–a–days in seminars and conferences. It is the language of officials / legates, business, science and technology, radio and television. India is aware of the functional value of English. One has to face interviews and group discussions and later, success in life. Those who choose marketing, teaching, receptionist and law as their career require a particularly good command over English. Student who plan to go aoad for higher studies or for jobs know the importance of “spoken English”. English is learned everywhere because people have found out that knowledge of English is a passport for better career, advanced knowledge, better pay and for communication with the outside world. The present study shows that there is a significant difference in communication skills among the teacher educators from Rural and Urban background. The study list of the various strategies followed by teachers educators who show interest to develop the communication skills in English. The study is conducted on the B.Ed students towards developing communication skills in English
