CLINICAL PROFILE AND MANAGEMENT OF ORAL MALIGNANCY

Abstract :

Objectives: To study the clinical profile of oral malignancy and the results of different modalities of treatment like surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy in oral malignancy. Materials and Methods: Total 37 patients were evaluated in ACPM Medical College and GMC, Dhule during a time period of 2 year from May 2016 to June 2018. All patients were evaluated thoroughly regarding size, shape, extent of the tumour or growth its metastatic spread and premalignant conditions like leucoplakia or submucous fiosis. In patients with stage second and third diseases, radiotherapy was considered as an adjuvant therapy. Discussion :The incidence of oral cancer, its distribution in the oral cavity, it’s age incidence and sex ratio all vary widely in different nations and races with difference in their nutritional states, their customs, their habits, their occupation and their awareness of general health and hygiene.
