COMPARISION OF EFFICACY OF OLANZAPINE AND RISPERIDONE AMONGS BIPOLAR DISORDER PATIENTS

Abstract :

Bipolar disorder, also known as manic–depressive illness is a ain disorder that causes unusual shifts in mood, energy, activity levels and the ability to carry out daily tasks. Symptoms of bipolar disorder can be severe. They are different from the normal ups and downs that everyone goes through from time to time. Present study is a cross sectional, observational study to find out adverse drug reactions and efficacy of antipsychotic drugs used in schizophrenia and bipolar patients. This article is only a part of my study which compares the efficacy between Olanzapine and Risperidone amongst Bipolar disorder patients. Total 77 patients were registered after taking written informed consent. Out of which 30 registered in Bipolar group and 47 in schizophrenia group. Most of patients were in Age group of 30–39 years (n= 28 means 36.36%).
