Abstract :
Cardiorenal syndrome (CRS) is a disorder of the heart and kidney whereby interactions between the two organs can occur. The
Acute Dialysis Quality Initiative (ADQI) Working Group has developed a classification for the CRS into the five discrete subtypes.
Knowledge of the epidemiology and incidence of heart–kidney interaction stratified by the proposed CRS subtypes is increasingly
important for understanding the overall burden of disease for which CRS subtype, along with associated morbidity and mortality.
