Abstract :

Background: To compare the efficacy of Fundus fluorescein angiography (FFA) with Indocyanine green angiography (ICGA) in diagnosing macular disorders and characterize choroidal abnormality observed with ICGA

Methods: A total of 100 patients of various macular disorders, of different age group were considered. All of them were subjected to Fundus Fluorescein Angiography and Indocyanine Green angiography. The observations of FFA were compared with that of ICG Angiography.

Results: Indocyanine green angiography has helped to detect the various macular lesions at the initial stage and treat them accordingly.

Conclusion: With the current available technology ICG angiography helps to detect abnormal choroidal vessels and identify various macular disorders, and treat them at an early stage.
