Aggressive Angiomyxoma Of Cervix: A Case Report And Review Of Literature

Abstract :

 Aggressive angiomyxoma is a distinct soft tissue tumor of the pelvis and perineum of adult women with a high risk of local recurrence.

Case: A case of an aggressive angiomyxoma of cervix in a 73 year old lady is reported. The tumour was 4x4cm in size. Histologically, stellate and spindle cells were embedded in loosely collagenised matrix with scattered vessels.

Conclusion: Aggressive angiomyxoma of the cervix must be distinguished from other benign and malignant myxoid tumours including myxoma, myxoid liposarcoma and other soft tissue tumors with secondary myxoid changes.
