Abstract :

Introduction: A large number of patients attend ENT OPD in hospitals. An audit of these patients visiting with ENT related disorders will help us to evaluate the frequency, type and presentation of common ENT disorders. Objective: To audit the clinico–epidemiological profile of patients attending ENT OPD. Materials and method: A retrospective study was conducted in the Department of ENT, Government Doon Medical College, Dehradun from 1st October’2019 to 31st March’2020. The records were evaluated and the patients were grouped depending upon the age, sex and clinical diagnosis. Results: The results were evaluated in the form of tables and figures wherever required and assessed depending on the aims and objective of the study. Conclusion: An audit of ENT disorders will help us train rural health care workers and make a curriculum for medical graduates stressing more on common ENT disorders.
