Anatomical Changes in Seedling of Pisum Sativum Linn. Under The Lead Stress.

Abstract :

An investigation was conducted to study the different stress of heavy metal Lead on anatomical changes of Pisum sativum. The stem anatomy of Pisum sativum is very much interesting. In normal condition stem of Pisum sativum is more or less square in shape in transactional view. A transverse section of the root is more or less round in shape. When Pisum sativum was treated with different concentration of lead the anatomical abnormalities showing its toxic effect on anatomical structure of root and stem of Pisum sativum. The stem of Pisum sativum treated with lower to higher dose of lead showed few specific effects on stem anatomy. The roots of lead treated plants showed many structural changes.
