Abstract :

Objective: To study the Sonographic and strain elastographic features of benign east diseases presenting as lump in patients in our hospital.

Methodology: This is a prospective observational study of all patients visiting our hospital with east problems. This study was conducted at AVBRH hospital Sawangi wardha over a period of about 19 months (March 2016 to October 2017). All female patients visiting the hospital with east lumps were included in the study.  Patients with obvious clinical features of malignancy were excluded from the study.

Results: A total of 125 patients were included in the study. About 52%   patients belonged to 3rd decade of life (age between: 21–30 years) followed by 33.6% from 4th decade (age between: 31 – 40 years). Fioadenoma was the most common benign east disease, seen in 44% of patients, followed by fiocystic disease seen in about 14.4% patients.

Conclusion: Benign east diseases are common problems in females of reproductive age. Fioadenoma is the commonest of all benign east disease in our set up mostly seen in 2nd and 3rd decade of life. Fiocystic disease of the east is the next common benign east disease whose incidence increases with increasing age.
