Abstract :

Neonatal jaundice is very common problem encountered s in the newborns. It is observed during the first week of life in around 60 % of term and 80 % of preterm babies. The initial sign of heå loss is very subtle and systematic neonatal heå screening methods are the most effective means of early detection. Early diagnosis and intervention are decisive factors in development and prognosis of these children
