COMPARATIVE EVALUATION OF ULTRASONIC VELOCITY IN BINARY LIQUID MIXTURES OVER WIDE RANGE OF TEMPERATURES

Abstract :

 Densities and ultrasonic velocities of the binary liquid mixtures of Dimethyl Sulfoxide with Methanol and Ethanol have been measured at five temperatures 295K, 300K, 305K, 310K and 315K. These measurements have been carried out for 15 concentrations of each binary system. Experimental results are compared with theoretical results using Junjie’s method (UJ ), Ideal Mixture relation (UIMR) and Impedance dependence relation (Uidr). Deviation in ultrasonic velocity and standard percentage error has also been evaluated. Intermolecular interactions have been explained with the help of results
