Dyslipidemia in Children & Adolescents : Study, Diagnosis & Management

Abstract :

 The incidence and prevalence of obesity and dyslipidemia are increasing. Dyslipidemia is associated with significant comorbidities and complications, and with cardiovascular risk factors like obesity, diabetes mellitus, hypertension and smoking. The main objectives of this article is to describe the prevalence of dyslipidemia in children and adolescents attending our outpatient department and review the diagnosis and management of dyslipidemia in these.
