MATERIALS & METHODS: A cross–sectional study was conducted from April–July 2019 at ASMC, Shahjahanpur, UP, among health care workers of the hospital (n =115). An identical pre & post–training questionnaire was designed which was pre–tested & structured and given to hospital staff before and after the training session. The data was tabulated by using Microsoft Excel 2010 and analyzed by using Openepi software and chi–square test was used. RESULTS: The knowledge about different aspects of BMW management was high among doctors and nurses as compared to other hospital staff participated. The study emphasizes the need to conduct regular periodic training among lab technicians & safai karmchari about all aspects related with bio–medical waste management.
