EXAMINATION WRITING STYLE OF +2 STUDENTS WITH RESPECT TO PHYSICS.

Abstract :
Physics is a very important subject for both board exam and competitive exam. The school physics syllabus from classes IX–XII is playing a vital role in various competitive examinations. To have very standard presentation in exams the students should prepare short notes for important derivations. The diagrams, circuits and graphs should be practiced well. This paper assesses the examination presentation style of +2 students with respect to physics subject. The sample consists of 850 +2 Physics students in Sivakasi District. Simple Random Sampling Technique was used. Examination Writing Style Inventory developed by the investigator and guide was used to collect the data. The statistical technique used was mean, standard deviation and ‘t’ test. The findings of the study were: i) The level of examination writing style of +2 physics students is low. ii) There is significant difference between male and female +2 Physics students in their examination writing style and iii) there is no significant difference between Tamil and English medium +2 Physics students in their examination writing style. Survey technique was adopted for this study. The educational implications and suggestions for further study are also given as per the findings of the study.
