Family Health “Begin Before You Start” Premarital screening

Abstract :

 Medical screening has existed for about 60 years, and has a very rich history. The preclinical identification of disease has been a major component of modern medicine and public health. Marriage in ancient  India consisted solely a sacred ceremony where a ide by her family is married to a groom of a well reputed family when there were minimal worries regarding transmission of STDs because of the then existed cultural trends, lesser  literacy levels and female occupation rates,introversion of the community. Children born withailments were considered to be a repercussion of a curse running through generations rather to see the hereditary component. Majority of these illnesses were sought an immediate cure rather than to be prevented.
