FLUCTUATIONS IN FOREIGN CURRIENCIESHELPFUL OR DAMAGING TO A BUSINESS

Abstract :

 If we command our wealth we shall be rich and free; if our wealth commands us we are poor indeed”– Edmund Burke In the contemporary modernness of today’s world money is a sine qua non for success. The financial compass is ever spinning for new found businesses nowadays impelling them to be cognizant of the various monetary and financially imperative information. Businesses across the globe cannot truly attain financial stability if there is a dearth of knowledge regarding their individual nation’s currency position and its corollary factors. It is a quotidian fact that the exchange rate fluctuations of lucre impinge deeply into the roots of success or failure of a business. So why does the value of currency fluctuate? What are the different factors that influence this change in monetary value? The most consequential question being, why does the elevation or disintegration of these values hold such an influence over the rise or demise of individual businesses and more importantly with the overall success of a nation’s economy. It is integral to understand the nature of currency and the interlaced relationship between its distributaries. The primary objective of this subject is to show that factors such as: the global market, current economic conditions prevailing, inflation and deflation rates, central bank interest rates etc. all play a vital role in effecting the fluctuation rates of various global currencies. We will also seek to ascertain the importance of these fluctuations in context to businesses around the world and the impact it has on their gains and losses.
